How do you make listeners nostalgic for an era they may have not even been born in? Meet "The Broken Locals", an acoustic-based pop-country duo from Nashville, TN.
Singer-songwriters Kaci Bolls and Britton Cameron met while pursuing their own solo careers and backing each other up. The solo setlists quickly transformed into songs that showcased their raw harmonies sharing the center stage. With well crafted contagious songs, soothing and infectious melodies, The Broken Locals make the largest of performance halls seem intimate. Oh....and they put on one heckuva show.
Bolls, an in-demand first call demo singer for legendary writers for well over a decade, has put her vocal stamp on songs cut by Leann Rimes, Sara Evans, Gwenyth Paltrow in “Country Strong”, and has brought songs like “Before He Cheats” to life for Carrie Underwood. She has writer catalogs with Spirit Music, Ole, EMI, and First Note Music. After many happy years working full-time as a writer/artist, she went back to school to get her MEd and now teaches kindergarten at Lockeland Design Center in East Nashville. Teaching has only broadened her musical horizon....she now has children's music available and is over the moon excited to share her collaboration with Nathan Meckel of The Happy Racers in 2020!
After many years touring in bands and duos, Cameron landed record contracts with Ichiban records, RCA records and Big Machine Records. As a songwriter Britton has been a staff writer for Hamstein Music Group, Warner Chappell, Windswept Music, Crossfire 3 and Big Machine Music. His songs have been recorded by artists including LoneStar, Jack Ingram, Jon Pardi Steel Magnolia, Sister Hazel, and legendary country artist Don Williams. As a producer, songwriting and singing coach, Britton now loves sharing his experience in his home studio where he has mentored and recorded over one hundred artists.
